Let’s take a look at the feel of these three mattresses and their firmness.
How Firm Are the Puffy Mattresses?
The Puffy mattress is rated a 7/10, which means it is slightly firmer than the average. Medium firm, which is the industry average, refers to a mattress that has a grade of 6. The original Puffy is therefore more stiff than normal.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid ranks 6/10 on the mattress firmness scale. Softer than typical Puffy Lux Hybrid.
The firmness rating of the Puffy Royal Hybrid is 6.5/10. The mattress is medium firm but will be firmer than that of the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
The Puffy Hybrid mattress is great for back and side sleepers. For back sleepers, the Puffy Lux Hybrid will offer contouring and support as their hips drop just enough to maintain a proper alignment.
Side sleepers will have a lower pressure. On their shoulders or hips, there shouldn’t be any pressure. This mattress might be too soft for stomach-sleepers, which could eventually lead to lower back problems.
Puffy Royal Hybrid also makes a great mattress for different types of sleepers.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid’s zonad support will ensure that back sleepers are in the right alignment. They will probably find it more comfortable than the Puffy Hybrid.
This mattress should be comfortable for side sleepers as well, providing great pressure point alleviation. For combination sleepers it will be easy to switch from sleeping on their back to their side.
What Do the Puffy Mattresses Feel Like?
Puffy’s original mattress feels soft and easy to roll on.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid has the same feel as traditional memory foam. This mattress will slowly sink in to your body. This mattress isn’t the most responsive, but, due to the memory foam feel.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid lives up to its name by being puffy and cloudlike. It is more responsive than the Puffy Lux Hybrid, despite the fact it contains memory foam. When you lie down on the Puffy Royal Hybrid it feels almost like a pillow.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
The original Puffy mattress should provide stability and support for back sleepers of average weight.
Side sleepers with medium weight will not feel the comfort they need in their hips or shoulders due to the firmness of the mattress.
Puffy will provide sufficient support for stomach-sleepers of average weight. However, people who weigh more than 230lbs will need a firmer bed.
Puffy Lux Hybrid should offer support to average-weight sleepers. Memory foam is great for back sleepers as it contours well and provides exceptional support.
Side sleepers of average weight should also find this mattress comfortable. Some people may feel too pressured by those who weigh more than 230 pounds, but most people should feel comfortable with the pressure relief provided by the mattress.
Stomach sleepers of average weight will find this mattress to be overly soft.
Puffy Royal Hybrid could make it easier for normal-weight back sleepers to have a more comfortable night’s sleep. The zoned polyfoam may provide enough support for those with back problems.
Side sleepers under 200lbs will feel excellent pressure relief when they are on this mattress.
However, anyone weighing less than 230 lbs can push the mattress too far and experience hip and shoulder discomfort.
People of average weight who sleep on their stomachs will not find this mattress too soft.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
The original won’t provide adequate support for heavyweight stomach or side sleepers, but they will receive enough support for heavyweight back sleepers while on the Puffy.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid’s coils will provide support for most heavy back sleepers. The mattress will be too pressure-point heavy for side sleepers.
Puffy Lux Hybrid is not able to provide sufficient support for those with larger stomachs.
Because of its coils and zoned foam, the Puffy Royal Hybrid can be used by heavy back sleepers up to 230 lbs.
Mattresses with more support may be needed for those who weigh over 300 pounds. The Puffy Royal Hybrid will not support stomach sleepers or side sleepers over 300 pounds.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
Puffy’s original mattress, which is both balanced and firm, is the best option.
Puffy original can feel too stiff for side sleepers. Puffy provides additional support for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than the Puffy Lux Hybrid and Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Puffy Lux Hybrid will provide strong support for light side and back sleepers. For stomach sleepers who are lighter, a mattress with more support will be better.
Lightweight side and back sleepers will appreciate how supportive the Puffy Royal Hybrid is. The Puffy Royal Hybrid could suit some stomach sleepers who are lighter, but the majority will probably require something more supportive.CLICK FOR BEST PRICE

All three mattresses feature stain-resistant cloud coverings. They have a smooth, airy, and breathable cover. This cover is hypoallergenic, which makes it ideal for individuals suffering from allergies.
Cooling Cloud foam makes up the top comfort layer of the original Puffy mattress (it is basically memory foam with a gel infusion to help with cooling).
Climate Comfort foam, which is underneath that and more sensitive and designed to aid in heat dissipation, comes next.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid comes with three comfort layers. The Cooling Cloud Layer is the first layer in the Puffy Lux Hybrid. This is a layer made up of memory foam and gel that has been added to improve ventilation.
The Plush Dual Cloud layer (a layer with softer layers underneath) will help relieve strain on the hips and shoulders. The last comfort layer, the climatic layer, is akin the original Puffy.
This sensitive layer gives your mattress some bounce and regulates your body temperature.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid includes four comfort layers. Cooling foam is injected into the top layer.
This layer keeps you cool and comfortable while you sleep by cooling the beads. Below that is a layer of memory foam for optimal healing and body shaping.

Each mattress includes a core support layer that is made up of a firm and supportive foam.

Puffy original is made entirely out of foam so it won’t breathe nearly as well as its hybrid counterparts. Gel infusions are included in the comfort layers and covers to help with ventilation.
Puffy Lux Hybrid’s memory foam could trap heat.
It does however have coils on the support layer, and gel infusions within many comfort layers. These features will help you control your temperature. This mattress will keep your body cool unless it is heated.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid mattress, which is similar to that of the Puffy Lux Hybrid offers a restful night’s sleep.
This mattress is comfortable and cool for most sleepers, thanks to its coils, gel infusions, soft feel and coils.

The original Puffy Mattress is the most springy. This prevents us from sinking to too deep. Sexual partners should be able and comfortable to move about on this mattress.
