The price and complexity of the design are just two factors that may affect your choice. The Puffy is their simplest mattress. The Puffy Lux is their most popular midrange model. While the Puffy Royal is their most luxurious, it is also their most affordable.
The original Puffy mattress is considered the most firm of the three mattresses. It is firm but the soft memory foam offers great comfort and contouring.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid Mattress features traditional memory foam and is the most soft of the two hybrid mattresses. This mattress provides excellent support and allows you the freedom to just sink in.
For those who have back problems, the Puffy Royal Hybrid mattress offers support.
Puffy’s Royal Premium model, which is the most expensive, was created to provide maximum comfort. This luxury mattress is perfect for back sleepers and those who need proper spinal alignment.

The Puffy Lux Hybrid scores a 6/10 on the scale of mattress firmness. Softer than typical Puffy Lux Hybrid.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid has a firmness rating of 6.5/10. This mattress will be firmer compared to the Puffy Lux Hybrid, although it is still medium firm.
A fantastic mattress for side and back sleepers is the Puffy Lux Hybrid. The Puffy Lux Hybrid will provide back sleepers with a great contouring experience as their hips sink just enough to keep their bodies in alignment.
Side sleepers will experience a reduction in pressure. On their shoulders or hips, there shouldn’t be any pressure. This mattress might be too soft for stomach-sleepers, which could eventually lead to lower back problems.
Puffy Royal Hybrid also makes a great mattress for different types of sleepers.
Puffy Royal Hybrid’s Zoned Support will help back sleepers maintain their alignment. This will be easier than with the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
This mattress should also be suitable for side sleepers. It will provide great pressure point relief. It will also be simple for combination sleepers to switch between sleeping on their back and their side.
What Do the Puffy Mattresses Feel Like?
Because of its responsiveness and balanced foam feel, it is very easy to move about on the Puffy mattress original.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid feel like traditional memory-foam. This mattress will slowly sink in to your body. This mattress isn’t the most responsive. However, the memory foam feel makes it more responsive.
Puffy Royal Hybrid delivers on its promise by being puffy yet cloud-like. It is more responsive than the Puffy Lux Hybrid, despite the fact it contains memory foam. When you lie down on the Puffy Royal Hybrid it feels almost like a pillow.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
The original Puffy mattress should provide stability and support for back sleepers of average weight.
Side sleepers of moderate weight will not find the right comfort on this mattress because it is too firm.
Puffy’s original mattress should be sufficient for stomach sleepers with average weight. However, if they are heavier than 230 pounds they will need a firmer mattress.
Puffy Lux Hybrids should be suitable for sleepers of average weight. The memory foam provides excellent support and contouring for back sleepers.
Side sleepers of average weight should also find this mattress comfortable. Even though people who are closer to 230lbs might push too hard on the mattress, most people will feel good pressure relief in their hips and shoulders.
Stomach sleepers of average weight will find this mattress to be overly soft.
Puffy Royal Hybrids may provide better sleep for those who are normal weight. Individuals with back pain may find enough support from the zoned foam.
Side sleepers below 200 pounds will find excellent pressure relief on this mattress.
Those who weigh closer than 230 pounds, however, may push too deeply into the mattress and eventually experience some hip and shoulder discomfort.
Stomach sleepers of average weight will find this mattress to be overly soft.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Although stomach and heavyweight stomach sleepers won’t get adequate support on their original, they may be able to receive support from the Puffy for heavyweight back or side sleepers.
Because of its coils the Puffy Lux Hybrid is supportive for heavy back sleepers. The mattress will be too pressure-point heavy for side sleepers.
Puffy Lux Hybrid is not able to provide sufficient support for those with larger stomachs.
Because of its coils and zoned foam, the Puffy Royal Hybrid can be used by heavy back sleepers up to 230 lbs.
If you are a back sleeper over 300 pounds, you may need a mattress that offers more support. The Puffy Royal Hybrid is not able to support stomach or side sleepers who are heavier than the Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
For back sleepers who prefer something firm and balanced, the Puffy Original mattress is the best choice.
Puffy original can feel too stiff for side sleepers. Puffy provides additional support for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than the Puffy Lux Hybrid and Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Puffy Lux is a strong support mattress that will suit light weight back and side sleepers. A mattress that is firmer will suit stomach sleepers and light-weight side and back sleepers.
