The Puffy Royal Hybrid has a firmness rating of 6.5/10. The mattress is medium firm but will be firmer than that of the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid is a great mattress for both side and back sleepers. The Puffy Lux Hybrid will provide back sleepers with a great contouring experience as their hips sink just enough to keep their bodies in alignment.
Side sleepers will have a lower pressure. The pressure should not be on the hips or shoulders. This mattress is overly soft for stomach sleepers, which might eventually result in lower back problems.
Puffy Royal Hybrid also makes a great mattress for different types of sleepers.
Puffy Royal Hybrid’s Zoned Support will help back sleepers maintain their alignment. This will be easier than with the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
This mattress should be comfortable for side sleepers as well, providing great pressure point alleviation. It will also make it simple for combination sleepers that they can switch between sleeping sideways and on their backs.
What Do the Puffy Mattresses Feel Like?
Puffy’s original mattress is extremely easy to use because of its responsive foam and soft feel.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid feels like traditional memory foam. This mattress will slowly sink in to your body. The memory foam feel makes this mattress not the most responsive.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid lives up to its name by being puffy and cloudlike. Although it is made with memory foam, it feels more responsive than its counterpart, the Puffy Lux Hybrid. While you lay down on the Puffy Royal Hybrid, it gives off a soft, pillow-like feeling.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Original Puffy mattresses should offer stability and support for people of average weight.
Due to the mattress’ firmness, side sleepers of medium weight won’t get the necessary comfort in their hips and shoulders on this mattress.
Puffy will provide sufficient support for stomach-sleepers of average weight. However, people who weigh more than 230lbs will need a firmer bed.
Puffy Lux Hybrids should be suitable for sleepers of average weight. For back sleepers, the memory foam offers superb support and contouring.
Side sleepers with average weight should find the mattress comfortable. Although people closer to 230 lbs may be able to push into the mattress too much, most people need good pressure relief on their hips.
The mattress is too soft for stomach-sleepers of average weight.
Puffy Royal Hybrid could make it easier for normal-weight back sleepers to have a more comfortable night’s sleep. The zoned polyfoam may provide enough support for those with back problems.
On this mattress, side sleepers under 200 pounds should get excellent pressure alleviation.
Those who weigh closer than 230 pounds, however, may push too deeply into the mattress and eventually experience some hip and shoulder discomfort.
People of average weight who sleep on their stomachs will not find this mattress too soft.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
The original won’t provide adequate support for heavyweight stomach or side sleepers, but they will receive enough support for heavyweight back sleepers while on the Puffy.
Due to its coils, the Puffy Lux Hybrid will be supportive for the majority of heavy back sleepers. This mattress will place excessive pressure on the sides of side sleepers, who tend to be heavier.
Puffy Lux Hybrid is not able to provide sufficient support for those with larger stomachs.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid’s coils and polyfoam zones make it suitable for heavier back sleepers, weighing upto 230 lbs.
If you are a back sleeper over 300 pounds, you may need a mattress that offers more support. The Puffy Royal Hybrid can’t support stomach sleepers and side sleepers with heavier bodies.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
For back sleepers who prefer something firm and balanced, the Puffy Original mattress is the best choice.
If you’re a light side sleeper, the original Puffy can feel overly hard. The Puffy offers additional support for stomach sleepers who are light than the Puffy Lux Hybrid or Puffy Royal Hybrid.
Puffy Lux hybrid’s support is ideal for lighter side and back sleepers. For stomach sleepers who are lighter, a mattress with more support will be better.
Puffy Royal Hybrid’s support is great for back and side sleepers, as well as light weight side and back sleepers. Although the Puffy Royal Hybrid might be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter, most will find it more supportive.CLICK FOR BEST PRICE
