The Puffy mattresses are made with soft, breathable foam and are some of the most comfortable bed-in-a box mattresses on the market.
Puffy Royal, Puffy Lux, and Puffy Royal are all made of foam.
Design complexity and price are two other factors that influence the cost of your mattress. The Puffy is their simplest mattress. The Puffy Lux is their most popular midrange model. While the Puffy Royal is their most luxurious, it is also their most affordable.
Original Puffy is the firmest of all three mattresses. It is firm but the soft memory foam offers great comfort and contouring.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid mattress has a traditional memory foam feel, and is one of the most comfortable hybrid mattresses. This mattress provides excellent support and allows you the freedom to just sink in.
Support is a key feature of the Puffy Royal Hybrid mattress. It features a zoned structure to help those with back discomfort get a good nights sleep.
Puffy’s Royal Premium model, which is the most expensive, was created to provide maximum comfort. This luxurious mattress is the ideal choice for back-sleepers and people who require proper spine alignment.

Firmness and Feel Differences
Let’s see how these mattresses feel and how firm they actually are.
How Firm Are the Puffy Mattresses?
Puffy mattresses are rated at 7 out of 10. This makes them slightly firmer than average. Medium firm, which is the industry average, refers to a mattress that has a grade of 6. This is why the original Puffy mattress is more rigid than others.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid ranks 6/10 on the mattress firmness scale. Puffy Lux Hybrids are more soft than their traditional counterparts.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid has a firmness rating of 6.5/10. Although this mattress is still medium-firm, it will be firmer when compared to the Puffy Lux Hybrid.
The Puffylux Hybrid is an excellent mattress for side or back sleepers. The Puffy Lux Hybrid will provide back sleepers with a great contouring experience as their hips sink just enough to keep their bodies in alignment.
Side sleepers will feel much less pressure. No pressure should be placed on their hips or shoulders. This mattress may be too soft for stomach sleepers.
Puffy Royal Hybrid also makes a great mattress for different types of sleepers.
Puffy Royal Hybrid’s zonesd support will allow back sleepers to maintain proper alignment. It is likely that they will find this more enjoyable than the Puffy Hybrid.
This mattress should be comfortable enough to support side sleepers. For combination sleepers it will be easy to switch from sleeping on their back to their side.
What Do the Puffy Mattresses Feel Like?
Puffy’s original mattress feels soft and easy to roll on.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid is similar to traditional memory foam. The mattress will sink gradually into your body. The memory foam feel makes this mattress not the most responsive.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid lives up to its name by being puffy and cloudlike. Although it does not have memory foam, the Puffy Lux Hybrid seems to be more responsive. When you lie down on the Puffy Royal Hybrid it feels almost like a pillow.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Original Puffy mattress should provide support and stability for back sleepers with average weight.
Side sleepers with medium weight will not feel the comfort they need in their hips or shoulders due to the firmness of the mattress.
The original Puffy should provide enough support for stomach sleepers of average weight, but if they weigh more over 230 pounds, they will want a firmer mattress.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid should provide support for average-weight sleepers. The memory foam contours and supports back sleepers well.
Side sleepers should feel comfortable on this mattress, regardless of their average weight. Some people may feel too pressured by those who weigh more than 230 pounds, but most people should feel comfortable with the pressure relief provided by the mattress.
This mattress will not suit stomach sleepers who are average in weight.
Back sleepers of ordinary weight may have a better sleeping experience thanks to the Puffy Royal Hybrid. The zoned polyfoam can provide support for back problems as well.
Side sleepers under 200lbs will feel excellent pressure relief when they are on this mattress.
However, people who weigh less than 230lbs could feel discomfort in their hips and shoulders if they push too hard into the mattress.
People of average weight who sleep on their stomachs will not find this mattress too soft.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Although stomach and heavyweight stomach sleepers won’t get adequate support on their original, they may be able to receive support from the Puffy for heavyweight back or side sleepers.
Because of its coils the Puffy Lux Hybrid is supportive for heavy back sleepers. This mattress will place excessive pressure on the sides of side sleepers, who tend to be heavier.
Puffy Lux Hybrid is not able to provide sufficient support for those with larger stomachs.
Because of its coils and zoned foam, the Puffy Royal Hybrid can be used by heavy back sleepers up to 230 lbs.
Mattresses with more support may be needed for those who weigh over 300 pounds. The Puffy Royal Hybrid can’t support stomach sleepers and side sleepers with heavier bodies.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
Puffy Original is the best mattress for back sleepers who want something both firm and balanced.
Puffy Original can be difficult for light side sleepers. Puffy, which is lighter than either the Puffy Lux or Puffy Royal Hybrid, provides additional support to stomach sleepers.
Puffy Lux hybrid’s support is ideal for lighter side and back sleepers. Puffy Lux Hybrid’s strong support is ideal for stomach sleepers.
Puffy Royal Hybrid’s support is great for back and side sleepers, as well as light weight side and back sleepers. Some stomach sleepers may prefer the Puffy Royal Hybrid, but most will require something more supportive.CLICK FOR BEST PRICE
Puffy Mattress Comparison: Construction Differences
Before buying a mattress, you need to be able to explain how it is made. The Puffy Lux Hybrid, and Puffy Royal Hybrid are constructed.
All three mattresses have stain resistant cloud covers. They have a smooth, airy, and breathable cover. This cover is hypoallergenic, which makes it ideal for individuals suffering from allergies.
Cooling Cloud foam makes up the top comfort layer of the original Puffy mattress (it is basically memory foam with a gel infusion to help with cooling).
Climate Comfort foam, which can be found underneath, and more sensitive and designed in order to aid heat dissipation is next.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid includes three comfort layers. The first layer is the exact same as the Cooling Cloud Level from the original Puffy. This is a layer made up of memory foam and gel that has been added to improve ventilation.
The Plush Dual Cloud layer below it will ease strain on the shoulders. The last comfort layer is the climatic comfort layer. It is similar to the original Puffy.
This sensitive layer gives the mattress bounce, and helps maintain a normal body temperature.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid includes four comfort layers. The top layer contains cooling foam.
These cooling beads keep you cool and comfortable during sleep. Below this is a memory foam layer with sensitive properties for body shaping and optimal healing.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid also contains the climate comfort layer. This layer is used to protect the mattress from moisture and keeps it from becoming too humid.
The fourth comfort layer of Puffy Royal Hybrid foam is made with cloud air technology.
This mattress’s zoned polyfoam is designed to give different areas of the mattress a stronger or more comfortable feeling. It’s very beneficial for side and back sleepers.
Each mattress includes a core support layer that is made up of a firm and supportive foam.
Both the Puffy Royal Hybrids and Puffy Lux have two additional support levels. These mattresses have a contour-adapt base that supports spinal alignment and gives the beds a responsive, springy feel.
The base layer of both mattresses provides traction and keeps the mattress in place no matter how many times you toss or turn throughout the night.
The Puffy original is 10″ tall.
The Puffy Lux Hybrid has a height at 12″ tall.
The Puffy Royal Hybrid is the company’s thickest mattress, at 14″ tall.

Puffy Lux Hybrid may trap heat because it has so much memory foam.

The edge support on the Puffy Royal Hybrid mattress is also fantastic. The Puffy Royal Hybrid mattress may give a little when you try to tie your shoes. If you rest close to the edge, however, you should feel supported.

The three mattresses are quite quiet and won’t be disturbed by your movements.
The original Puffy Mattress is the most springy. This prevents us from sinking to too deep. Sexual partners should be able and comfortable to move about on this mattress.
